Empowerment through Action
When a family is targeted by an alienator and an alienator's groupies it can feel like every bit of your power over your life has been stolen, but you can take that power back. You can take action in your personal case and action in your community. Start by educating yourself, your family, and anyone involved in your case. Don't be afraid to reach out for help when you need it. When you have your case in a place that you feel like you can now deal with it start educating your community.
Everytime you take action instead of sitting there waiting for the next attack from the alienator in your life you take more of your power back from them. It is important to take action and refuse to be a victim of the alienator in your life for your child's sake as well as your own.
Ways to take action for your case:
Take care of yourself. Your health is important and when under stress it becomes even more important that you take care of yourself.
Get a good support system in place. The alienator in your life has his/her groupies to help -who is helping you? This is very important especially when the holidays come.
Educate yourself by finding out all you can about your rights as a parent and then refuse to allow anyone to deny them. Make sure that you have a good understanding of the law and use certified mail and make copies when making complaints.
Speak to your minister about your situation and hand out educational materials whenever you get the opportunity.
Refuse to be silent!
